My wife and I were looking for a high rated restaurant nearby after a long beach day and found la Capricciosa, and boy were the ratings correct. I can't remember the last time I've had authentic Italian cuisine. The depth of flavor and freshness in their food is something I've been missing since I went to Italy. I had one of the best beef lasagne in years, my wife's linguini and shrimp al pesto was so good my mouth waters thinking back on it. Since we live far away, I ordered a pizza a la tartufo to take home just because I knew it had to taste good. I was so curious of the taste that even though I was absolutely stuffed I tried a piece to get it as fresh as possible, and it was without a doubt one of the best slices I've had in Florida probably ever. I am already thinking of going back for our anniversary. Thank you, La Capricciosa, for making the food with such love that you can taste it.

Been anxious to finally try La Capricciosa for a while now and DEFINITELY worth the wait. This fine restaurant live up to all the hype. It is excellent. Service is courteous and they make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. The dishes here bring you some nice flashbacks of Italy as the food is THAT good. We started with the Prosciutto e Arugula Pinsa which amazing. So many times I have had this pizza and the prosciutto used elsewhere makes a could be pizza sub par, but not here! The prosciutto was top shelf! For pasta we had Cacio e Pepe and the Pappardelle alla Tartufo. (Both dishes brought us back to Rome!). The fact it was Wine Wednesday was a bonus when glasses of wine were only $7! If you are in Fort Lauderdale area or staying in Lauderdale by the Sea, you need to have to try La Capricciosa! They will not disappoint!!!

A must try! It's a cute spot with the BEST pizza in Ft Lauderdale. I've actually never had a better crust anywhere and recommend the shredded mozzarella pizza. The first time I had it, it was cooked perfectly, yesterday the cheese was melted but I like a little browning on mine. One pizza can definitely feed two people. Our server Liz was welcoming, warm and on top of everything that we needed. * We returned for the porchetta Monday special last week and I was disappointed. I was expecting a couple thin slices along with the crispy skin and all the textures that makes porchetta droolworthy. They shave it cold cut thin and add it to arugula and tomatoes so it just ends up being a partially warm salad. Love the pizza, porchetta, not so much.

Loved this place recommended by neighbours. Interesting innovative rectangular pizza with a gluten free base. Generous serving. We had the Margherita and the Calabrese. Friendly and efficient service by Italian speaker. Nice homely atmosphere. Will be back to sample more dishes and some of their extensive wine collection. Recommended.

Fresh Italian food not far from the town center in Lauderdale by the Sea. For an appetizer we ordered a Caprese salad which was very fresh and quite good, the basil was extremely tasty. Two of us ordered the Margherita Pinsa and love the flavors. The crust was thin and crispy, the tomato sauce was very fresh and cheese and basil were both very good. Our sister ordered a Caprese panini, and did enjoy her sandwich. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is fun.
